The GGBET bookmaker was founded in 2016 by experienced e-sports professionals with an aim to build the best electronic games betting provider on the market. Now a globally recognized betting site, they have introduced a new Sports category focusing on classic sportsbook stakes.
The site offers you to login directly via Facebook, Twitter, and Steam or sign up using an email address. A range of standard currencies is proposed at this stage – sadly, the Philippine peso is not supported, so US Dollar or Euro might be your choice.
Handy “Top Events of The Day” selection for various games
No personal document required to sign up
Low minimum deposit: 1 Euro (55 peso)
Detailed reports for previous bets, rewards, and transactions
Referral program offered
No mobile apps for Android & iOS
No Lite website version
Unclear deposit fees and timelines
Talking about the odds, we must consider that coefficients are extremely dynamic, especially when the match is going Live. The GGBet betting site’s primary specialization lies in eSports, meaning that the odds tend to be more objective because of an enormous range of bettors. Looking for larger margins? It is better to concentrate on less popular types of sports, likely located in the usual Sports branch.
Still, the odds margins are highly unstable and linked with the substantially chaotic context of an event.
The GGBet betting company has not developed native apps for iOS and Android. On the other hand, they have substantially adapted the mobile version: judging by our mobile site test, no issues or glitches were detected.
The GG Bet mobile site works swiftly and full functionality is available. However, since there is no optimized Lite mobile version, the slower devices are prone to significant lags, especially with the live broadcasts. In case one’s phone or tablet is powerful enough, the mobile betting experience will be truly rewarding, as additional betslip features and steady performance are experienced by bettors.
The GGBet bonuses are updated every month, occasional offers expanding for larger periods. As at June 2020, three active promotions are present. Does not seem like a huge number of promo actions. Hopefully, the potential prizes will make it pay off!
- GGBet welcome offer gives you 100% cash bonus for four distinct deposits between $5 and $150 (equivalent in ₱) made in June. However, rollover requirements are harsh: the promotional funds have to be realized 22 times within 14 days at 1.75+ odds.
- Another first deposit bonus: by entering “ESL” promotional code, you will be eligible for a 150% cash bonus anywhere up to US$100. Minimum qualifying cash-in is $5. The fulfilment obligations are similar to the offer above.
- “Bet insurance” action: for every wager of at least $10 (~500 PHP) on Dota 2 or CS:GO events with odds of 1.75 and higher, a bettor is guaranteed to get his money back if the stake has lost.
In addition, a permanent GGBet referral program is worth mentioning. For every friend who signed up via your special link and deposited $10 or more, your account is getting credited with $5. No fulfilment requirement. Easy money!
Again, the promotions described above are only relevant for June of 2020. In recent months, a variety of promotions were introduced: for example, free bets bonus and Dota 2 items draw in May.
>Given the primary orientation on the electronic sports and later plunge into the traditional sports sphere, the GGBet’s scope of events is extremely extensive.
The betting choice encompasses 17 real-life sports categories, ranging from football to rugby and presidential elections predictions. Plus, 15 eSports types are maintained, including the trendy Virtual Sports in Football & Basketball, rarer disciplines like StarCraft, and newly-released Valorant.
In total, a diverse circle of 30+ games are represented in GGBet Sportsbook, with ubiquitous live broadcasts and attractive Outright bets for each ongoing tournament.
As for the majority of bookmakers, there are online posts with GGBet scam allegations. Some, released more than a year ago, look quite truthful, yet the company has already changed an operating license’s country several times. Besides, the “Complaints” site page does not seem to run at all.
Perhaps, there is no ideal betting platform, so personal check-up and liability to bear the potential risks is advised.
In the Philippines, only 5 cash-in methods are offered. The processing time is close to immediate. The fee depends on the payment system used and is not clearly signified.
Importantly, after indicating the desired deposit sum, the site yielded a “Payment Pending’ window and asked us to contact support for additional information. Therefore, the GGBet cash-in transactions are not automatic and will require more than average effort from the user’s side.
After your identity verification is complete, cashouts are allowed. However, the GGBet’s Terms & Conditions mention that if the initial deposit was not realized at least once, then the bookmaker is liable to incur a fee of 10% on each withdrawal operation.
Notably, the GGBet website specifies approximate confirmation periods for withdrawals:
- Up to 2 days for $300 or less
- Up to 5 days for $300-$2,000
- Up to 14 days for $2,000-$20,000
- Up to 30 days for more than $20,000
The GGBet maintains three main ways for a customer to receive support: live chat, email, and Skype.
Just to make it clear, the online chat was the only place where we have got a reply – indeed, it was a fast and professional answer with a manager. No chances for mail and Skype. Even though our requests were comparably similar and made on a working day, no response was given after 24+ hours.
An automatic email letter affirmed that a ticket was created and our issue will be resolved within a day. Meanwhile, the Skype chat was even more hopeless: the system said the support account was last seen “days ago.”
|Response time||instant||1 hour||instant|
This info about support was last updated: 13.10.2020
After a thorough GGBet review and field test, our impression is mostly favourable.
Admittedly, some disadvantages like the mobile app’s absence or pale promo actions may be a deciding factor for some punters, the platform’s deep commitment to esports is beyond compare in the Philippines. While not standing out in other areas, the live broadcasts and on-air betting are hosted in an exceptionally stable and visually enticing manner.
Low required deposit
Fair amount of bonuses
Possible commission for withdrawals
Mediocre support services
Surely, there are many things the site needs to fix or improve on. We express our biggest hopes that our overview will serve as a decent foundation for future growth.
